4th International Professional Geology Conference (4IPGC)
Geoscientists Canada is pleased to announce that the 4th International Professional Geology Conference (“4IPGCâ€) will take place in Vancouver, BC, January 22-24, 2012.
Please find attached a letter to your president from James Moors, P.Geo. President of Geoscientists Canada. Also attached are copies of the conference announcement flyer, in English, French and Spanish.
4IPGC will coincide with the annual Mineral Exploration Roundup convention of the Association of Mineral Exploration of British Columbia (AMEBC). “Roundup†is a vibrant, technically-oriented convention that attracts over 7000 participants each year from across Canada and around the world. Geoscientists comprise the largest individual segment of Roundup delegates and will ensure an excellent atmosphere for 4IPGC. A co-operative agreement between these two events will allow for respective delegates to attend both conferences.
Please mark your calendars and please provide wide circulation of this announcement flyer among all your geoscientists members and also ask that they take note of the convention website address www.4ipgc.ca. In addition to the low resolution versions of the flyer attached, high resolution and html versions are available for downloading from the convention website and from the Geoscientists Canada website www.ccpg.ca.
Your organization is encouraged to publish the flyer by way of an announcement item in your member magazine, newsletter, or via broadcast email.
Hardcopy handout versions of the flyers are being send to your organization by regular mail.
The overall theme that has been chosen for the conference is “Earth Science – Global Practiceâ€. The organizing committee is now seeking suggestions for session themes and ideas for the technical program, and we would be happy to hear from those interested in becoming a sponsor, or otherwise becoming involved.
