PhD position
The Department of Physical Geography at the Institute of Geography of the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, Germany offers a PhD position with the opportunity to specialize in limnogeological, sedimentological and paleoclimatological issues. The successful candidate is expected to work on
sediment cores, surface sediments, sediment trap and other samples (water, plants etc.) which have been and will be recovered during an expedition in 2012 from lakes on the Tibetan Plateau. Hence, the willingness to participate in expeditions to Tibet (~1 month) is a precondition.
The duration of the position will be for 3 years. Salary is paid according to the TVoeD (62%, 13 TV-L).
